Last updated: June 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Paperwork CoPilot (“Paperwork CoPilot,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), the seller and operator of the Paperwork Copilot service (“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Paperwork Copilot is an AI-powered document assistant that helps users understand letters, bills, forms, and other documents by providing plain-English explanations, flagging deadlines, suggesting next steps, and drafting replies.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update your information as necessary to keep it accurate and current.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or process documents that you do not have the right to access
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content

5. Content and Documents

You retain all ownership rights to the documents you upload. By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process and store them solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-generated explanations, summaries, and drafts are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI outputs before acting on them.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually depending on the plan you select) and renew automatically until cancelled.

Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to billing and handles returns, refunds, chargebacks, invoicing, and tax collection and remittance. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

Refunds. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for details on how to request a refund via Paddle.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Unless a refund applies under our Refund Policy, your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, logos, and content provided by us, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paperwork Copilot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Paperwork Copilot operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
